It's been awhile

Last time I wrote, I was a new teacher at Rain Forest International School in Cameroon.  Now, I work in Chicago and do things like working with people's CDs and IRAs (mostly withdrawing money for them), answering phones, discussing how we can be better organized, etc.  Big change.

Last time I wrote, I was a young, single woman, eager to follow the Lord wherever He would take me.  Now, I have been married 2 1/2 years, waiting for where God will take us next.

Where have you been?  And where are you going?

p.s.

The Bible class starts at 1:35pm my time, which is 7:35am Chicago time on Monday, Sept. 4 (6 hours different).  Our Lord encouraged us to pray without ceasing...so let's try to lift these students up to His throne.

Two things:

1) Last Friday we began talking about salvation in my middle school Bible by introducing new vocab words like atonement, propitiation, and imputed righteousness (pray for their minds as this can be seminary level stuff :); this Monday (Sept. 4...the one day out of two weeks when I teach this class alone) we will continue our discussion of salvation by looking at who Jesus is, ending with a time of personal reflection.

Please, please pray for God to move.  I am afraid that my words and inexperience as a teacher will get in the way.  Many come from Christian homes, but there are some that do not.

Yet, I rest in the promise that our Lord longs to draw everyone to Himself.  Regardless of where we are at in our knowledge, understanding, and obedience to God, we all need to walk towards Him and learn how to live in His love more completely.  Pray with me that you and I, alongside these middle school students, will be touched by His grace, awed by His powerful holiness, and humbled by His sacrifice...whether it be for the first time or the 300th time.

2) My NP email is dead, which means I no longer get mass xanga updates from all of you.  If you want me to know what is going on and what you are sharing on the xanga-fied world wide web, please email it to me :)  I love getting email...and most of you should know my non-NP email address...so drop me a line!
